Most close calls miss us altogether, or go by undetected.

For the small population that we notice:
-  Many are welcome adjustments to our existing path.
-  A few, we might wish to avoid.
-  Fewer still are those rare “moment of truth” collisions that change our lives.

Close calls are not inherently good or bad.  They enable change.
“Goodness” or “badness” derives from our views about change.
If we feel we have everything we need, a close call might be the last thing we want. On the other hand, if we’re stuck with no options, a close call might just be what the doctor ordered.

Close calls emanate from a gap that exists in all of us, between the way things truly are, versus the way we believe them to be.

Where do we think we are?
That depends
